Glo's in Seattle’s Central District brings a modern twist to the classic diner experience, focusing heavily on breakfast and brunch dishes that lean into hearty, well-executed comfort food with a few local flairs. Situated at the busy corner of East Denny Way and Barbara Bailey Way, this spot draws a steady crowd, especially in the late morning hours, so arriving early can help avoid the inevitable wait that builds around midday.

The atmosphere at Glo's balances the familiar warmth of a diner with contemporary touches in both decor and menu offerings. It’s the kind of place where the flow encourages lingering—a relaxed, unhurried start to the day, supported by friendly, attentive servers who seem knowledgeable about the menu’s nuances and eager to recommend options.

Breakfast classics are the highlight here, with substantial portions that cater well to those with hearty appetites. The hash browns, often noted for their crispiness, come highly recommended and pair well with the eggs Benedict varieties that include interesting touches like grilled tomatoes or smoked salmon. Pancakes and baked goods like their coffee cake also draw positive notice for good flavor, if not wildly inventive. Coffee drinks—including the hazelnut latte and cappuccino—round out the meal with solid barista skills behind the counter.

The vibe is casual but with a hint of a neighborhood spot that locals return to, comfortable enough for relaxed weekend brunches or a solid weekday breakfast before the city fully wakes up. The occasional line outside hints at its popularity, so it’s best suited for those with a bit of time to spare rather than quick in-and-out meals.

Glo's is a modern diner with great food! Hash browns are so so good and my favorite were the grilled tomatoes on eggs Benedict , it added juiciness and an amazing flavor to the Benedict. The servers were so friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place for breakfast/brunch, but make sure you come here early as there is always a line for brunch closer to 12pm.

Glo’s is one of those places that never disappoints and feels just as magical as it did the first time. Did you have to wait for an eternity to get a seat…we all know you did, but it’s worth it. You need to plan time for this place, it’s not a rushed situation. Now that you are seated, the waitstaff has you covered and will bring you the best fresh squeezed drinks, perfectly rounded delightful poached eggs and any sweet and savory breakfast brunch delight. You can’t go wrong. I’d suggest bringing a friend and sharing sweet and savory. Blackstone on a biscuit with fruit is my favorite order. Sharing a waffle or french toast is highly recommended:) Cheers with a grapefruit and orange mimosa.

When I went there was a short wait. Glo’s is a solid diner food spot. Not much to rave over. The service was great! The pancake batter was delicious— I enjoyed that out of everything else. Omelet was pretty good. Tad bit salty but okay. The hash browns were good. I would say they offer great food portions! So, you are getting your money’s worth. Recommend if you’re in the area.

Glo’s has a classic diner feel with a modern atmosphere. The menu had classics like omelettes, pancakes, and biscuits and gravy while paired with season specials and lunch offerings. Hashbrowns were hot and crispy and would highly recommend a side if your meal doesn’t come with them. The latte was great and service was fast. They are on the pricier side, but the quality and location make up for it. I will be back.

Good place to get brunch and breakfast food around Seattle. Good service, the food was good, nothing spectacular, the hashbrowns were a bit too salty too. I’d come back and try their pancakes!

While in Seattle we were looking for a really good breakfast spot, when we found Glo's. The decor is reminiscent of mid century modern and the staff are all very friendly and warm. I ordered the black bean omelette and my wife got the pancake. If you are looking for a small bite to eat, be prepared to take home a lot of food because the portions are large. I've never eaten an omelette with Black Bean chili in it, but I hope it's not the last time. It was nothing short of delicious, as was the pancake. The hash browns come served in a mound and are next level delicious.
